LILYA-SUMMER-2015

Warmer weather is just around the corner, meaning more picnics in the park, days at the beach and road trips where a good selection of music is involved. Following the release of our High Line collection we have collated some of our favourite tunes currently on repeat and keeping us inspired. It’s starting to sound a lot like summer!

While we head into the cooler months, it does have us daydreaming of the warmer weather north of the equator. Stockholm based stylist and fashion director of StyleBy Magazine, Columbine Smille, is a master of vacation dressing. A holiday uniform made up of loose kaftans, slide on sandals and sunglasses, all that is really left is a tan and a drink in hand.

Los Angeles based stylist Jessica De Ruiter, her husband/artist Jed Lind and daughter James call this sunny mid-century modern house in the hills of L.A, home. Elements in the home originally designed in 1953 for an artist are still present today with its uncomplicated aesthetic. The house features a flow from indoors to outdoors, allowing natural light to encompass the whole space. This light and airy feel pays homage to the mid-century aesthetic, with pared-back forms, contemporary patterns and natural materials. We love the freshness that this house encompasses, while keeping a functionally homey vibe. Both comfortable and chic, we’d like to call this place home….
